More widely recognised for its footwear, @eccoleather supplies innovative materials to some of the most iconic accessories brands in the world.
In early 2020, ECCO approached @Platform13 to help steer a new bag brand concept into existence, by answering the question: Why does the World need another Bag brand?
We kicked off with a global quant and qual research project in China, Russia, UK, Germany, delivering a 90 page MACRO trends and target consumer insight report to the company.
Our answer: No. The world doesn’t need a new bag brand. The world needs brands that are considerate of planet and people.
The second phase took the insights from the research, to establish the identification of a long term relevant cultural and strategic positioning including a radical approach to business rooted in the company’s unique materials to product offer: FOR NOW, FOR TOMORROW, FOR LIFE, and a 3 year roadmap for this new brand.
